Saint Vincent de Paul has resale stores in many communities throughout Ontario. These stores provide people the opportunity to donate lightly used clothing, furniture and household items for the benefit of the poor. Some of these items are sold to the general public. Many of these will go to the poor at no cost to them. Any profits will also go.

The Ottawa Central Council (OCC) of the Society of St- Vincent de Paul has formed a partnership with the Multifaith Housing Initiative (MHI) to build a housing complex, called the Dream in LeBreton Flats and later, the Anchor, to be located at 7 Rossland Avenue in Nepean. Through various fundraising activities, the OCC aims to raise sufficient funds to cover the down payments of 4-6 apartments.

St. Vincent de Paul died in Paris on September 27, 1660, and when his body was exhumed in 1712, 53 years after his death, he was found to be incorrupt. However, due to an underground flood, St. Vincent's body was found to have later decayed naturally, with the exception of his heart and bones. St. Vincent de Paul was canonized on June 16.

Staff and volunteers of the Drop-In Centre prepare and serve wholesome meals to our guests. From 80 to 200 people are served at each breakfast and lunch.
